And just in case you didn't think it was 1968 all over again

Seven figured pastry-inhaling historian and diamond appraiser Newt Gingrigh's new campaign message is "take a bath hippy".

Oh, and this:
“A country that has been now since 1963 relentlessly in the courts driving God out of public life shouldn’t be surprised at all the problems we have. Because we’ve in fact attempted to create a secular country, which I think is frankly a nightmare.”
Yeah, it has nothing to do with pointless wars, tax cuts to the rich, and ever more aircraft carriers etc.

The Republican Caucuses in Iowa are going to be something Iran's ruling theocrats would enjoy.

Yeah, ever since the US turned its back on God in 1963, it's seen a great upsurge in narcissist pukes who dump their cancer-stricken first wives for younger second wives... and then in turn dump their second wives for even younger third wives...

You know the old saying:

"Not all who go to church are hypocrites, but all hypocrites go to church."

What we see here is the absolute worst of the lot. A man, and I use that term very loosely, that will say anything to anyone to further his agenda. A hypocrite of the worst kind. I was around to see the damage that he created in the nineties, and from that grew an intense hatred towards those that deceive for a living. The fact that this abomination is considered a viable anything by the press is repugnant to me. Liberal media indeed. If you were to put his attributes into any Democrat they would be vilified and banished from public life forever. What does THAT say about America?

Of course Newt gets a free ride from Family Forum, but good god, what's the matter with the rest of the press? "Secularism is responsible..." sounds like Mel Gibson's rant about the Jews; "take a bath, hippy," is the sort of stereotyping (down to the "they smell") that his parents' generation used to justify segregation...a real press corps would remind him of his ridiculous Susan-Smith-killed-her-children-because-of-liberalism nonsense (ignoring the fact that Smith's Republican father molested her as a child)...and didn't Newt try to drum out Nancy Pelosi as Speaker a couple of years ago -- "she disqualified herself" is what I remember him saying. And Gingrich is supposedly the smart guy?

Newticles was, is and forever will be the classically American snake-oil salesman of our age.

He cares about only one thing--selling the product (himself)--and is impervious to criticism and wholly indifferent to the truth. He is the perfect contemporary GOP politician.

He is at once so ludicrous and so hideous that his every appearance in public should be accompanied by desultory snickering.

Paul Krugman quoted someone who had the perfect description of Newticles.

"He's a stupid man's idea of what a smart person sounds like."
